Join me Saturday, January 16, as we root on the NFC’s #1 seed, Our New Orleans Saints, as they play their Divisional Round playoff game at 3:30 PM against the Arizona Cardinals.

The fun will begin at 2:30 PM at 3715 Williams Blvd. Ste. 102. Don’t forget to wear your Saints colors as we watch the game with a super large projection picture. Food and drink will be served. Children welcomed! Let’s cheer our Saints all the way to the SUPERBOWL!

Geaux Saints!

To everyone, I wish a wonderful Christmas filled with family, friends and love. As I look back on 2009 I find myself thankful for my family, faith, health and friends. Oh Yea, and a wonderful Saints season. I know my brother Jerry is dancing in heaven, he loved the Saints!

Now I look forward to the blessings in 2010. I know there will be challenges, but I prefer to count blessings not crosses, and be optimistic. Sure would be nice to get it started with a SuperBowl win! Go Saints!

A Happy Prosperous New Year to you and yours!

Saints

If there is a team in the NFL that has more talent, I don’t know who they are. This could be the year. I know …… I know …. we say that every year only to be met with disappointment and despair. But this is a new year, and optimism runs high especially as you evaluate the team and its personel.

No one would argue that the Saints have one of the best offensives in the NFL, led by one of the top 5 quarterbacks, Drew Brees. Now look at the weapons surrounding him. Lance Moore, Jeremy Shockey and Marques Colston are healthy and picking up from where they left off. Devery Henderson is still one of the best long ball receivers around and Robert Meachem looks to finally reach his potential and high draft pick. Besides, I think Drew Brees could make me look like an all star receiver. OK, maybe not!

Our running game is showing some spark with Hamiltom, Hill and Bell. It will be interesting to see who Coach Peyton keeps. Pierre Thomas is working hard to improve and Reggie Bush could really show his remarkable gifts this season.

Now defense, with the addition of our new defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, is looking really good in pre-season games, and I understand it is only pre-season. The defense has put pressure on the quarterback, got turnovers and stopped the running game. Sedrick Ellis is becoming a force to reckon with, and Jonathan Vilma is getting even more into the game plan as he continues to be an impact player.

Now I know I am no Kenny Trahan, but I enjoy watching and rooting for the Saints. I am a DIE HARD FAN with stars in my eyes and sweet dreams on my mind – This Could Be The Year! Go Saints!
